Chapter 14

Now what has happend is that the two black kids Elijah and his cusin have won the cash and they are very siked about it. They are about to pay off there taxes until a phone call interupes there happyness. On the phone was the sheriff and he is talking to Elijah's grandpa telling him that he is coming in 20 minutes and he is coming with alot of people to beat the crap out of Elijah and that he is a dead man soon. So this ends up with Elijah having to leave the place to go to chicago and live a better life. So like that Elijah is gone for good, well until things cool off!

Chapter 13

So in chapter 13 things get strange, they have captured the blind kid, but there is a black man still stuck inside the island were they found the little boy. He has saverer pain in his leg and is going to die if he does not see a docter soon. But luckly since the sheriff went with the 2 boys, he goes and rescues the black man. You would think he did that, but the way he rescued him was awful, he draged this wounded man from point a, to point b. He would later be pronounced dead because the damage that he took and how long he had to bare with that damage. The money was set 35 dollers. Elijah was pleased, until the sheriff tells Elijah and his cusin that he will take at least half of the proffet. But that was not the case because the daddy of the blind kid finds Elijah first and hands him the 35 dollers, everybody is happy, NOT FOR LONG THOUGH!!!!!!

Chapter 12

In chapter 12 what is going on now, is they have left to go rescue the blind kid so that they can get paid. But the problem rite now is that the sheriff is with them and he will try to take money away from eligah but the problem is that elijah won't let him!!!1

Chapter 11

So now Elijah and his cuzin in bark in this new adventure, and this is a very dangerous task that they now have to acomplish. What happened was that the blind kid's father ask's a bunch of people if they would help rescue him, but then these 2 teens come and ofter to rescue him. But the blind kid's dad ofter's to pay less to them since they are black. But they come to agrement and they will get paid the full money if they find him, as long as he is alive it's all good!! But there is a twist, what is going to happen is the sheriff is going to go along with them!!!!

Chapter 10

Ok so now Elijah and his cusin are going to leave to this great adventure. What they are going to try to do is try to rescue the blind kid and hope that in return they get some money. The catch on this is that there are black teens, so white man well try to pay them less than they expect, or that other people would get. But Elijah was not stupid at all and he knew were this kid was and he was going to rescue him and get the full money that is needed to pay for taxes. But soon they will not be alone.

Chapter 9

So for chapter 9 what is happing is that now is they are eating food while they are talking about how they are going to pay of there taxes, then someone comes and asks what happened to this blind kid and his guardine. What happened was that they went on a fishing trip and then some how or what happened was that there was a storm and it swiped the ship away into a land were no one wants to be. Then the Lewis family talks about all this nonesense on how this save can make the tax problem go away. Then it is set elijah is going of on this new and rapid trip.

Chapter 8

So now in chapter 8, things have changed. Now its 10 years later and the book now is focused on a teen aged boy named Elijah, and his is a hard head. His mother is the all mighty Lizzy who survived the hard fight. But so now they are eating and just having a fun time, until a white man comes in and tells the owner of there new land to pay taxes or that they will be leaving. So this is a bad, I mean very bad situation. Only because they (the whole lewis family) is short on money. But this will all change very soon!!..

Chapter 7

So chapter 7 starts off with Lizzy waking up on top of a tree and she is very scared at this point for not knowing what can happen in the next second. She remenbers about Lem and looks for him. She ends up finding him in the next tree! She calls him, and then finds out that Joshua has not came back and that probally he may not come back at all. So now they have found out that he dosen't comt back. So she turns on her "Lewis" blood cells on and tells Lem to leave with him to try to find something worthewhile to do. Lem and Lizzy end up hearing dogs back, and it hits her, "there looking for me and Lem". As soon as they find that out the start running as fast as they can and end up hearing that the dogs are not as far away as they would hope. They end up in a milatary camp!!!!!

chapter 6

So in chapter 6 Yoshua, Lem, and Lizzy are walking, sort of running. Because there are a few dogs chasing them. So when the day turns to the afternoon, and it gets sort of dark, Yoshua tells the two youngster's to hide in a tree. Because he dosen't want them to get caught if he gets caught, so now he leaves and Lizzy and Lem are at a tree all day, there on the tree for so long, that they fall asleep. But sooner or later Lizzy and Lem will be in much trouble, much to much trouble!!

Chapter 5

Well in chapter 5 what happens is that before Lizzy, yoshua, and lem leave the men tell Lizzy to say her good byes to the family, she goes and tells everybody how she is going to leave and go with lem and yoshua. Because if she stays, she is a goner. Then she leaves and lives her life of freedom that she had imagined.

Chapter 4

Ok, so chapter four starts off with Lizzy holding a gun. Why? Because what happened was yoshua accually came back to get lem. But what ends up happing is that Lizzy goes first to offer her lover Lem a glass of water. Little does she know that there is a white guy there ready to shoot. But when he finds Lizzy he begains to wopp her, because he thought that Lizzy was trying to let him free. When realisticlly that was not true. The white guy had the gun and when Lizzy was getting wopped, Joshua comes out of no were and starts to rumble vs. the white guy. Then Yoshua calls out "get the gun" and Lizzy hesates to get it, but ends up getting it and holding it up to the white man's face. In the end Joshua, Lizzy, and Lem have to leave town forever!!!!!!!!

Chapter 3

In chapter 3 this story changes, because this white girl who I guess likes lizz, and wants her to be her best friend try's to ask questions about why and were yoshua and lem went. But she does not know. Later that afternoon Lizzy finds out that they found her lover "Lem", who is about 13 gets caught. She asks the white girl that what are they going to do with her, but all she says is that there not going to kill him because they want to put him on a tree so that yoshua can come back for him and rescue him!!

Chapter 2

Chapter 2 starts off sort of funny, in the beggingng when I was reading this book I thought that this book was sort of dumb, but once I kept reading this book I got to the point were I could not stop reading this book. Chapter two talks about a person named "Lizzy" and she is a nice young lady. But soon this well change rapidlly. What she talk's about is her family and how she is a slave of whites, then it ends with her uncle and lover running away from the slave spot.

Chapter 1

So like chapter 1 talk's about how whites ruled blacks and how this was cruel, how this little kid was in shakels. In chapter one i sort of did not understand why it starts of like that. But once I moved in from chapter to chapter I start understanding why it starts of like it did. I think that this book is a nice book and I'll continue to keep reading chapter for chapter.
